Posted by admin | Health and Fitness | Tuesday 22 September 2009 3:45 am

Clomid Best for ovulation and post-steroid bodybuildingClomid, which is also known to the world as Clomiphene Citrate, is best regarded as an orally administered ovulatory stimulant that is efficacious for minimizing the risk of gynecomastia during the steroid cycle as it employs aromatizable steroids.

Its chemical name is 2-[p-(2-chloro-1,2-diphenylvinyl)phenoxy] triethylamine citrate (1:1) and the chemical formula is  C26H28ClNO or C32H36ClNO8 (citrate).

This antagonist or mixed estrogen agonist facilitates the stimulation of testosterone and LH in the human body and blocks the inhibition of estrogen. Most of the Clomid users appreciate this drug as it has an elimination half life of 5-7 days.

If any one wants to reap optimum benefits of Clomid then he can take a dosage of 50 mg/day for a maximum of five days. Thereafter, the dosage can be increased as per qualified medical advice if ovulation does not happen by the fifth day.

It is important to note here that Clomid tablets need to be stored at a controlled room temperature of 59-86°F (15-30°C) in a closed container. This container must be kept away from children, pets, heat, direct sunlight, and moisture.

However, it is always wise to remember that like all anabolic products even Clomid abuse can lead to side effects. The possible side effects after Clomid abuse can be headache, abnormal uterine bleeding, increase in appetite, vaginal dryness, loss of hair, fatigue, discomfort in breast, and ovarian enlargement apart from bloating and vomiting.

Nitric oxide monitoring not helpful for most asthmatic children

Posted by admin | Health Care | Sunday 20 September 2009 6:19 am

Nitric oxide monitoring not helpful for most asthmatic childrenAccording to results reported in the second issue for January of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, a publication of the American Thoracic Society, the level of nitric oxide in the exhaled breath of an asthmatic can portent worsening of asthma symptoms.

It was also revealed that such a situation may also signify an imminent attack that gets linked with an underlying airway inflammation.

From News-Medical.Net:

Johan C. de Jongste, M.D., Ph.D., at the Erasmus University Medical Center-Sophia Children’s Hospital in the Netherlands, and colleagues randomized 151 children from 15 academic centers and hospitals with mild to moderate asthma to a 30-week monitoring course. Families were called every three weeks and reported on the daily symptoms in the prior three weeks. The child’s medication was adjusted accordingly.

The researchers compared the rates of exacerbation, symptoms, use of medications and other endpoints between the last 12 weeks in the two groups. There were no significant differences whether or not FENO had been part of the daily monitoring. However, both groups enjoyed an impressive overall improvement in symptoms, despite a reduction of about 50 percent in inhaled steroid dose, suggesting considerable benefit of frequent monitoring.

“We speculate that daily supervision and frequent phone contacts have produced an improvement that could not be beaten by additional monitoring of FENO, most likely because of a ceiling effect on compliance,” wrote Dr. de Jongste.

These findings have made the monitoring of nitric oxide of significant interest, particularly in children, as a potential way in helping clinicians when it comes to improving treatment results.

Posted by admin | Health Care | Thursday 17 September 2009 7:28 am

How to stay positive? If you really want to take complete control of your health, mind, and body then you need to think positive. Thinking positive is not something that you can achieve in a matter of a few days. You need to constantly work upon your attitude, your thought process, and your relationships in the civilized society.

Let us find some invaluable insights about the concept of being healthy and thinking positive. First of all, free your mind from all negative thoughts by seeking happiness in every small thing. Do not expect miracles and tend to make goals, which can be achieved. Start working on an active lifestyle and exercise for about 30-40 minutes per day.

Eat healthy and say bye to unhealthy products such as cigarettes, alcohol, sedatives, antidepressants, junk food, processed food, and worries. These things may be hard to leave but you really need to work on them to stay healthy and think positive. In addition to that, adopt healthy practices such as fresh food, active life plans, fruit and vegetables, working out in the gymnasiums or at the garden, sleeping and waking up early, and staying happy.

Believe it or not, these things really work and they are not very difficult to adopt.
