Faslodex, also known as Fulvestrant, can be best described as a highly selective estrogen receptor antagonist. This antiestrogen is different from others in the same category as it prevents exertion activity on the body rather than targeting the production of estrogens. It is worth noting that Faslodex, the pure estrogen receptor antagonist, was the first injectable estrogen antagonist to be admired by bodybuilders and strength athletes.

In the medical world, Faslodex is indicated for treating hormone receptor positive metastatic breast cancer in post-menopausal women with disease progression after an antiestrogen therapy.
