Home remedies for Bronchitis!Bronchitis, inflammation of bronchi in the lungs can become very troublesome if it persists for a long period of time. I’ve seen some of my friends who stay dizzy almost at all hours of the day because bronchitis never leaves them in a better state. If coughing increases, nothing seems worse as pain in the chest can become stronger at times. Though it is a medical condition which needs absolute medical attention but if some precautions can be taken at home as well, its intensity can be highly reduced. Listed here are some such remedies which can prove to be highly beneficial for people suffering from Bronchitis.

Castor Oil: Castor oil works wonders for bronchitis patients. One can either use castor leaves if available or castor oil can also be used. Just warm a few castor leaves on a pan and after they become cool enough, place them on the patient’s chest. Make the person breathe-in the vapors that the leaves release because of heating. In case of castor oil, apply some oil on the chest and inhale the vapors in the same manner. This can be highly relieving for any patient suffering from any kind of lung infection.

Thyme: Thyme is popular for the tea made by drying its leaves. Dip these tea leaves in one cup of boiling water for ten minutes and make the patient drink them at least three times a day. If possible add some honey to it. It will work as a wonder therapy for Bronchitis patients.

Herb Powder: Herb powder is nothing but a mixture of finely chopped ginger, black pepper and cloves. These substances are full of anti-inflammatory properties and hence work the best towards giving instant relief to the irritated throat. Just add half a teaspoon of each and prepare a mixture with the addition of honey and make the patient ingest it in small quantities at intervals. This will help taking the phlegm out of the chest within a day or two. It is also highly beneficial in healing severe cold and cough.

The substances to be used in each of these remedies are easily available and hence can be put to use immediately. However, if a person is particularly allergic to any of these, make sure you don’t use that as it can further aggravate his condition.
