Swine Flu - Winters may grip more peopleThe fact that the virus behind swine flu spreads faster during the winter is the sole reason. It is, therefore, advised that every one (including those who are till now protected from this flu) to be extra cautious with their hygiene and surroundings.

It is important to note that the target group of swine flu or H1N1 virus comprises of elderly, pregnant women, diabetic and heart patients, and children. These people must take extra precautions to stay away from this flu.

Some precautions that need to be followed religiously are:

  • Places that are crowded must be avoided.
  • Hands must be cleaned at regular intervals.
  • Use of handkerchief must be made every time sneezing or coughing is experienced.
  • Surroundings must be left clean.
  • Visit to a qualified medical practitioner at regular intervals is recommended.
  • Do not visit a swine flu patient without a H1N1 preventive mask.

By observing these simple tips, you can easily prevent the swine flu (H1N1) virus. Remember, it is your own health and it is better to stay protected than visiting a hospital after being made a victim due to negligence. Swine flu is very much curable and preventable!
