Transform your stress reactions!
Stress, in simplest terms can be described as the response of our being to the pressures of the outer world which manifests itself as emotional and physical strain on us. Almost every second person in today’s time is suffering from some kind of stress. As long as we employ measures to keep it controlled on a regular basis, it works well but if it goes over board, it starts revealing itself in the form of physical illness. High palpitation and headache are two basic symptoms of stress. It goes worse when stress starts affecting our relationships at work, at home and even at social places. Laid down here are tips that might help you control your stress levels in a great deal.
Here you go!
Identify your triggers!
The first step towards controlling stress is finding out what causes it. Normally stress reactions become more apparent than the causes that create them. We often get lost in the ripples it creates in our mind and forget the main reason behind it. Sometimes something as simple as traffic while going to office in the morning can make us angry. Work pressures of course form one of the major reasons of stress now a days. Thus first identify what actually triggers your stress reactions.
Stop over-analyzing!
Most of the times we lose when we start over-analyzing a situation. We keep stretching it in our mind, thinking about why it happened, how could it happen to us, how could anybody do such a thing with us, so on and so forth. We never really focus on solving the issue by taking it in our stride, thinking of ways to avoid its occurrence again in our life. You’ll see that if you stop over-analyzing things, you’ll feel much lighter when anything happens to you. You’ll react less, feel more emotionally stable and will be able to handle situations better.
Recognize the nature of your stress reactions!
Do you panic when stress over takes you or you feel like hiding yourself in a corner and shut yourself from the other world? It is important for you to recognize your stress reaction style which will help you combat it.
These are some ways that will help you identify the nodes you can possibly heal your stress from. Never get too carried away with situations or improper words somebody tells you. Stay clam! Everybody gives out of their store so stop focusing on what the other person is doing or undoing. See what you are giving out of yourself when an unlike situation builds up. Always remember that nothing and nobody on earth can harm you until you let them harm you. Will be writing more on the subject in my next post. Until then, keep smiling and be good!
